The first performance of a dancer is a memory that is etched in her mind eternally. For me, this memory comes back with the awe and joy I experienced by sharing the stage with my esteemed Guru. I now realize how fortunate I am to be learning from her. She has instilled many qualities in me and Discipline is one of the foremost. She gives individual attention and has been an encouraging teacher allowing me to explore my creativity. Apart from a great Guru she is a good friend, a confidant and mentor. I am determined to take up Bharathanatyam as a lifetime pursuit while experiencing the bliss of this art form in the joyful company of my Guru.
